dissed fruit
“huh?” [looking up from her newspaper] “i mean, i love all the fruits you have in this salad individually. you know, i love my pear, mango or grapes by itself. but when you put them together in a fruit salad, even when there’s not a lot of different kinds of fruit, suddenly one of them is a loser. it becomes my least favorite food in the whole bowl.” [blank stare] “so in this fruit salad, i like mango, grapes and pear, in that order.” “you don’t think i have enough fruit variety in my salad?” “no, i’m just making the point that any one of these fruits could be my favorite at any other time, except when you put them in a salad.” “i like grapes…” “i can see that, they do have this well-rounded sweetness, not too sugary or tangy, especially next to those pears.” “and juicy, don’t forget juicy” Posted by cellpharmer at September 12, 2005 09:09 AM |
